Crispy air fryer sweet potato wedges with golden edges and tender centers. Made with simple seasoning and cooked at high heat for maximum crispiness — no soaking or deep frying required.

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil (or olive oil)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

    1. In a large bowl, whisk together the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
    2. Add the sweet potato wedges and avocado oil. Toss until evenly coated.
    3. Arrange the wedges in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they aren’t touching. Work in batches if needed for best results.
    4. Air fry at 390°F for 6–7 minutes. Flip the wedges, then continue cooking for another 6–7 minutes, until golden brown and crisp on the edges.
    5. Transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce — gochujang mayo or cilantro jalapeño sauce are especially good.
